Handmade Christmas - part 2

This year's foyer colours are plum and silver.
Last year I created a few fabric hearts from some velvet fabric scraps, that I had been given.
After the hearts are firmly stuffed  with polyester fill,
I then twisted some glittery thread to form a bigger size cord and sewed it around the seam line.
Then comes the fun part...coming up with pretty designs to decorate each heart.
I used sequins, beads and small ornate metal scrapbook trims, as well as tiny fabric roses.
I gave each heart a beaded tassel to match.
They can be hung up by a loop of glittery yarn sewn into the top and  make great little gifts as well.

  1. I want to be half as crafty as you, when I grow up. Wow, everything is so beautiful.
