I like Iluka.

After dousing ourselves with mozzie spray, we were able to take  a walk through the world heritage rainforest at Iluka, on the north NSW coast. It is quite a good walk, from Iluka, with a lookout at the other end at Iluka Bluff.  This overlooks the rocks and ocean below. Very nice to stop and catch your breath, before the return trip back.

As lovely as all the tiny mushrooms and ferns are, my favourite thing in the rainforest has to be the stunningly decorative Strangler Figs.
If you look closely at this picture, you can see a very thick root coming down from the fork in this large tree. One day this Strangler Fig will completely smother this tree until it dies. The lacey patterns that the roots create are amazing, and very beautiful.
