A Royal visit...

I have had royalty on my mind, lately.
Which is kind of appropriate...
seeing as Queen Elizabeth is visiting us (Australia) this week.

Her Majesty is not the only one who happens to adore CROWNS.
I myself have a fondness for these highly ornate and ridiculous head pieces.
They can be any size, shape or colour...I love them ALL.

Which is what led me to make this latest creation.
To get a better glimpse of it, just click here!
(oh...in case you were wondering...that little Princess in the pink gown is my grandie, Lilli)

Thanks for looking!

White Christmas Dreams

Here are some close-up shots of my pretty things.
I had a bit of fun with them in PhotoStudio.
The wonderful photos from
'A Fanciful Twist' were my inspiration.

A Rose Garden wreath
was created easily enough
with a few bunches of inexpensive
fabric roses.  After heat treating each flower,
to create a more crinkled effect on the petals,
I hot glued them onto a
simple cane wreath..and then I poured a
watered down white wash
of acrylic paint over them.

Glittery fabric hearts were simply
stuffed firmly and then I drew some
swirls over the front with 'kindy glitz'.

The sparkly baubles above,
started life as styrofoam balls
from a craft shop.
The addition of sequins and beads
held in place with glue and pins,
transformed them into elegant decorations.

This beautiful wreath
was made the same way as
the Rose Garden wreath.
This time I used artificial
Poinsettia and Hydrangea
flowers.
I also added some glitter around
the edges of some of the Hydrangea petals,
and sprayed the whole wreath
with a light coating of glitter.

Oh wow...it's now truly Lilliputan size!

You may have caught my post on this
adorable little cottage a short while ago.
Well now there is an even smaller sized cottage,
which looks identical in almost every aspect.
I've added the highlighted links for you
to check it out for yourself.
Just wonderful!

Blurred boundries

#15 in my 'Photogenic' label.
Oliver thinks, "those bears know how to have a good time", so he's befriending my large white bear.
Where does the dog fur end, and the bear fur begin...?
I took this photo a few years ago, in our spare room.
It was not set up.
Ollie just put himself in this position.

'over the top'

Quite luscious, and all done with such a limited palette.
I love this shot, by Natalie Shau, so it will be # 7 in my 'Photogenic' label.
Enjoy.
